I would say to love. Because to love is a selfless feeling. It's when you want the best for someone, even if that doesn't include you. It's when you try everything in your power to just move on and carry on, but it doesn't work. Love is wonderful, yes. And being loved back, is a privilege. A reward. But it has been known, tons of times, that you can love someone with your whole heart, while they don't return the same love your way. And sometimes, you just have to accept that, even if it hurts... so much. The difference is, making the choice to stay, or to leave.

I'd have to say be loved.
I'm not sure anyone could love without being loved - and taught to love - first.
