Another one of my poems. From eons ago. Well it feels like it. I had a best guy friend back then. We were inseparable. We did everything together. Yes. Everything. That too. Eventually. Anyway, he went abroad for something or other. I think it included a girl. It's so long ago... my memory fades. Enjoy.
My Emptiness
The world suddenly feels so empty without you,
My heart, body and mind feels empty.
I guess I took you for granted; you were just always there,
Now you’re gone.
I feel broken, torn, and useless without your friendship
To keep me strong.
Now you’re so far away, so out of my reach.
You’re trying to live another life in another world,
Yet I’m stuck over here, in our world.
The world you and I created together,
The world we had in our dreams for so long.
The world you left behind for her
And the world beyond us…
Now I feel so empty, lonely without you touch,
Your hand to pull me up.
Do you think of me too on those cold winter nights?
When the moon shines brightly while I’m awake?
Do you miss those times together?
Intertwined as one?
So now I will stay in our world,
Waiting for you to come back to me.
I will look up at the stars and send my love to you
For I know we share the night sky above
Us every night….

@ Indi - Yeah he did mean a bit more than that in the end. Like I said, we did everything together, just never dated. I guess that got to me in the end. Dunno. It's quite a time ago. Glad you like the poem, mean a lot coming from you...
